CONGRATULATIONS SINGAPORE AND MAN UTD

Yeah, finally after a month i am making a comeback here in my blog. Thank you thank you, no need for the clap. (Wave hands)
Speaking of claps, please put your hands together for the Singapore Lions, who bravely fought their guts out to defend their title crown. They are the ASEAN champions, again, after beating Thailand 3-2 on aggregate. My heart practically raced its butts throughout the match where the Thais seemingly held the possession for most of the time. Imagine 90% of the match the Thais control the game and the lions played like F***. Surely not a standard of an "ASEAN champ's" calibre. But hell, the Lions still managed to win thanks to Amri's superb solo. His run to the box and a fierce drive into the goal sent the whole of my block into ruptures. Shouts of goal!!! can be heard. It was madness for a while in Bukit Panjang. Seeing his shot remind me of my soccer-playing days where i always score the winning goal for my team. Shoot right at the keeper's face. Haha. If you guys don't believe, just ask my former Blucisive team mates.
And lastly congratulations to Manchester United for impressively beating Spurs 4-0. They, surely are the champions and will be the champions come this May. Thanks to Terence for the news.
Till then, Firdaus signing out. OUT.

Happy New Year and Selamat Hari Raya Aidiladha

Goodbye 2006
Its gonna be 2007, and what a year 2006 has been. It is the last ever year that I’m calling myself a TEENager. Well, I’m an adult now. I’m gonna start acting like 20 year-olds.
Anyway 2006 was a year so many things happened. Here are some highs and lows:

Highs:
1) I graduated from ITE West Clementi with the Higher NITEC. Within weeks, I was accepted in Republic Polytechnic. This was probably my biggest achievement this year.
2) First overseas trip with the Musketeers to Kuala Lumpur. Bangkok is the next trip in 2007.
3) Highlighted my hair for the first time. Actually this year alone, I can’t remember how many times my hair changed. From this color to that color, from this style to that style.

Lows:
1) I was dumped and all heartbroken for the first time in my life. This was probably the biggest upset this year.
2) France lost in the world cup final. My favorite team has never won when I want them to. Remember Zidane’s head butt?
3) Had my first ever accident on a bike.

Hello 2007
I ain’t gonna talk about new year’s resolution cos I don’t want to disappoint myself if things don’t go my way. Past year’s resolutions made was not always met so I’ll cut all the what-I-want-to-achieve-next-year crap. It’s better to talk about something after you’ve finally achieve it. I’ll just gonna prove to others my worth by showing them what I’m made of. You’ll see.

Happy New Year and Selamat Hari Raya people.

Boring holidays

Had a great dinner at Chicago’s Steakhouse over Cathay Cineleisure for my good friend’s so-called last dinner on Thursday. His NS is unfortunately starting this Saturday. Pity him. Anyway there was only the two of us (Mail and me, Roy couldn’t attend), and we ordered quite a big meal which was rightfully meant for three, so just imagine how full we were after the meal. Lamb and Salmon, and the humongous BBQ ribs (similar to Cartel’s St Louis except it’s not pork). Sounds nice huh? Well it was okay, filling and satisfying, and the taste was not so bad. Just 2 things that were not okay: 10% service charge and 5% GST. But hey I’m a typical Singaporean. Act high class, but don’t want to pay.

After the meal, we went for some pool over Park Lane and also met up with Darren. Darren is a friend of Mail, and I used to work with him during those Raffles Hotel days, so that makes him a friend and ex-colleague too. Hmm it’s complicated lah. Had a few games till the place was virtually quiet and damn dark. It felt strange playing pool with your table the only one lighted up and the rest of those 20-plus tables empty. Scary! Scawy! (Read: Raje) But who’s stupid enough to have a pool game in the middle of a Thursday night? Unless of course, if it’s us. But hell, we continued playing even though it was seemingly lifeless in that pool place. We switched on our MP3 and blast the music throughout the whole place and of course sang loudly. “Make the place like our father place like that.” Haha. It was fun. It felt like playing at the comfort of our home.

The term break has officially started but I still don’t know how to spend it. Those plans I’ve made are just summer winds or fart or I don’t know what you call it. Plans that are made just to be called plans in the end? Haizzz boring.

Holidays holidays

The term break is here! Finally. No more torturous wake-up call at 630am for school. No more dreaded-sleepy journey in 963 and sardine-packed 169. No stupid PBL (Problem-Based Learning for your info, sounds nice but in fact it is stupid). No Science and Math, which has nothing to do with my course. No really-stupid RJs. For a month, at least. To be honest, I did not learn anything in school. Simply because it is self-learning. Sometimes stupidity gains in this world. And in this case, the whole system is stupid.

It is now time for module selection for next semester. And the funny thing here is, there is no choice at all! You cannot even select what you want to learn for next semester. Then why the hell do you call it module SELECTION?! Here stupidity plays its part again. (Shakes head)
The reason I am staying is just that I do not want to let my parents down. But what the heck, it is the holidays man. Talk about school? RP for that matter? No thanks.

I just hope that the class chalet, the trip to Batam/Bintan, the Star-Cruise holiday, and the KL trip are not cancelled. Those were the plans that my classmates and me came up with, and I’m deeply hoping that it will go on as planned. Please save my holiday!

I cannot wait for my Blucisive reunion on the 15th. (If the booking goes well lah.) It has been a while since I hangout and played with my football Kakis. We used to play football almost every week during those secondary school days when I was still slim and goal-hungry (I used to score 3-6 goals in a competitive match). But I am a veteran now; my legs cannot carry itself much. Hehe, I love self-compliment.
Anyway the reunion will be played on The Cage, Kallang. The cool thing is The Cage comes with turf flooring, a private locker room/toilet where balls and bibs will also be provided. Rain or shine the game still goes on. Cool huh? Cannot wait man! But what is not cool is it is 180 bucks for 2 hours of play! Expensive man! Guys, $15 please!

I just hope this time round my holidays would not be a bore like it has always been. I hope.

(I’m missing you so much. I really do. Hope you’re doing fine.)

Take it all away

Is taking away my life worth it? My life has no meaning now. Everything seems so wrong. Every single bit of thing that’s got to do with my life is all wrong. Everything is turning its back on me. I really don’t know what my life is for.

I’ve worked hard in my life. But it seems that it’s never ending. Seems that the world is evolving around the very same thing. I’ve worked hard on something to find that I’ll be working even harder. Or even worse, that something or someone will turn its back on me despite everything I’ve done. If life is this, then it is so predictable. If you are born with hardship, most probably you’ll die with it. So what for go through life if you knew hardship will only come your way?

As I’m writing now, lightning started to flash around where I’m sitting. Maybe god is unhappy with what I said. But I’m really at the edge of nowhere. I don’t know what to do, where to start. People might say I’m still young, but I think I’ve seen a lot of what the world has offered me. I know what hardship means. I know how it feels to be cheated. I know how it feels to be neglected. I’ve had everything that’s bad in this world. I’ve been patient all my life.

There are just so many problems. I can’t take it anymore.

Maybe I should just stop being the good guy, be a bad guy instead. Leave all problems as it is. Never solve them. Leave them hanging. Because there’s never a reward for being good. I don’t care what you all will say. I don’t care anymore.

Picture Paints a Thousand Words

Picture paints a thousand words

Hey guys i'm back. I guess i have too much to say now, it's been a while since i last blog. And i'm too lazy to type too much. So posting pictures is better. It is not only faster and easier, it paints more words and meaning. There goes the saying: Picture paints a thousand words.

Recently, i went out for dinner with two of my ITE buddies. Azroy said to me, you don't miss that person till he or she is not there. Well that is so surprising coming from him, but i somehow agree. I kinda miss my ITE days where fun is an everyday thing. Now, everyone has moved on with their lives, and my friend here, Ismail (he's the most HANDSOME guy in those pictures), is going for his National Service in December. So gonna miss his lame jokes. So these pictures below will be his last days of freedom. Can't wait to see him get rid of his "Sarajambo tail" and await his coming soon new-look botak.

I'm joining an Amazing Race with my classmates soon. Any advice on how to cheat in a race? I'm desperate to win lah.
Till then, see you guys around.

Oh yah, and i just remembered. This morning my ex-classmates came to my new class and create one big havoc. Damn you guys man. Damn you Razi, Rayvin, Tengyu, Jordan, Eeqa and Vila. May you all live in hell! Hahaha.

They did one of the most embarrassing thing ever. Coming into my class and telling the whole class that im gay. Which is not true lah of course. I can't explain how paiseyy i was man. What an impression. Now my new class thinks i'm gay. Damn. Where should i put my face? Maybe at your nugget, Tengyu? Muahhahahaha.

My most singlish entry ever

W24R....What can i say about this class? Been a few days only, so i don't know my new classmates yet. But so far, they're okay. My class is so Singapore indeed. Chinese, malay, indian, eurasian, chinese-indian, myanmarese. All have. Except Ang Moh lah. Hehe. Anyway, i'm really looking forward to getting to know the class better. Raje's a joker, smiling always. You know when people have this kind of face: want to laugh but don't want to laugh. Raje have that face. Haha. Richelle called herself my sister. Which i don't know why. Jarel called me a Malaysian, just because i stay in the west area. What the hell bro, that's bias. Terence the liverpool fan, my rival, cos i'm a Man Utd fan. Red devils!! IIda the laughing "jukebox". Say a bit, laugh. Talk a bit, laugh. Li Keng the Auntie. Hmm haiyah i don't think i'll be talking about each and everyone. Till here. I think i'm lazy to write lah.

P.S. Just because you're older than me, doesn't mean you are better than me. When i reach your age, i'm gonna beat you i every way. Take my word for it. Future is all that matters bro, not the present.
